Here is quick explanation on how to measure...Get a coat hanger, straighten it out, cut it 16 inches. Now on the wire measure 8 inches and make a mark there with a magic marker. Then where the 8 mark is bend it over your horses wither so that the 8 inch mark is on top and bend downward so that the wire is right where you saddle would be, Make sure all of the wire is touching your animals back. Now then remove the wire. Measure the distance straight across, between the 2 ends. This is the measurement you need to send us!

(Usually a $75.00 upgrade in the standard Sonata). This seat is only surpassed in comfort by the seat standard in our Elite Series saddle.
 

Crest Ridge saddlery remains the most durable synthetic saddle on the market. This SonataSR05 Series features hanging d rigging both front and rear. Which means the rigging in this saddle is attached DIRECTLY to the tree, not to the fabric. 
The SonataSR05 Series Crest Ridge synthetic saddle features front hanging dee rigging, the most durable available. Hanging dee rigging consists of one piece of leather wrapped around the dee, both loose ends attached directly to the tree with screws and reinforced with copper rivets. In-skirt rigging is inferior because all that holds the rigging is 2 or 3 copper rivets attached to 2 or 3 layers of leather, sewn into place. Wouldn't you rather know the tree is holding your saddle in place, rather than a piece or 2 of leather attached to a synthetic material? 

The SonataSR05 Series saddle has not only cordura (1000 denier) fenders, it has nylon reinforced cordura fenders to strengthen and prevent the holes in the length adjusters from stretching. 
Rim seat standard, as well as the roll under beaded swell, adding a sporty and sophisticated look all at once. 

The SonataSR05 Series provides a light weight, economical alternative to our traditional leather saddles. No compromises of quality were made in the construction of these saddles. We have used the same base for these saddles as that of our Guffey series, the modified J-bar tree. The Crest Ridge modified j-bar tree has stood the test of time. Originally seen in the saddles dating back to 1880, it was originally specifically designed for mules and narrow-bodied animals. This time tested and true tree has proven its worth in the thousand of animals able to remain sound with heavy use. This style of tree had not been available on a large scale since the late 1940-50’s.

 Features a Crest Ridge resin with wood insert tree. This gives the owner the advantage of a light weight durable tree with uncompromised strength. The insert resin tree overcomes the disadvantage of most resin trees. In a full resin tree there is a chance that the screws will stripe out over a period of time. The wood inserts allow for the same structural integrity that a regular wooden tree does, while allowing the weight to be reduced. The screws WILL stay in place. 

The SonataSR05 Series saddle allow your horse's shoulders to move freely without any pressure or pinching. In addition the solid tree distributes your weight across the broad area of your horse's back muscles preventing uneven pressure and allowing the horse to USE his back correctly to perform the signature gait of his breed.

These 15, 16, & 17 inch saddles are built on an Old Timer Tree, with a 9.5” Slick “A” Swell, with a 5.5 inch High Cantle allows for closer contact, which allows for a better harmony between equine and rider.

The SonataSR05 Series is ideal for trail, working, training or as a lightweight second saddle. Skirts and fenders are synthetic, the jockeys, swell and cantle and stirrups are crafted from steerhide leather - far more durable than the materials traditionally used on this type of saddle. 

The seat is a center pocket seat to keep the rider in the perfect place in the seat at all times. 

The SonataSR05 Series is made with 1000 denier weight Cordura, strong enough to hold up to extended use. Synthetic Lining.

Crest Ridge Saddlery ® Warranty is to the original purchaser only, to be free of defects in materials and workmanship excluding misuse and neglect. Freight to return a product to the company, for defective determination, is borne by the purchaser.

These saddles are designed for use on the trail and recreational riding and are not in any way guaranteed for roping or any other purpose that varies from the original design intent. This warranty does not apply to any defects caused by negligence, misuse, alteration, abuse or accidents.

Crest Ridge Saddlery ® will repair or replace, at it's sole discretion, any product found to be defective by the company, for use as intended, after return to, and examination by, the company. The sole remedy under the warranty or under any implied warranty is limited to the replacement of defective parts.
