The Sinclair measures differently than the rest of our saddles. This photo shows how to properly measure the saddle. 17 inch seat is the equivalent to a 15-16 inch Western Seat saddle.  The weight chart is 100 to 220 of the people that rode this saddle and were happy with it. 18 inch seat is the equivalent to an 16-17 inch Western Saddle. The weight chart for this one is 160 to 250.

We stand behind our saddles. Every detail is scrutinized for quality and durability as well as appearance and usability. All Crest Ridge trees are designed for close contact. The feel of your horse will not be lost in the bulk of a poorly designed couch placed on your horses back, like so many others. We design our tree with a low center of gravity, allowing the rider to easily go with the horse, both when the horse is in gait and in the event the horse spooks, you will go WITH the horse!

The Sinclair Saddle  is a Crest Ridge Saddlery's straight run saddle! They are made one at a time by master craftsman, not assembly line saddles!

The Buena Vista Plantation Saddle was first saddle marketed for Gaited Horses was introduced In the late 1800's.  The Sinclair is an exact replica of a 1909 Buena Vista model.  The tree in the Sinclair was handcrafted back then and is so complex that it cannot be replicated today except by resin mold because to do so on a commercial scale would not be economically feasible.

The Plantation saddle is so named because it was primarily used by the Southern Plantation owner's that had to ride long distances comfortably while checking their vast land holdings typically on Gaited Horses. Crest Ridge Saddlery is proud to off you the same saddle with the same removable fender options on each saddle to enable our customer's the same comfortable ride that our historical horsemen rode. The Sinclair is a straight run saddle. We make the same saddle over and over to allow us to keep the costs down, passing the savings on to YOU! Many top of the line features, with a VERY reasonable price for the quality!

The Comfort of both rider and horse are have been optimized in this saddle, while maintaining tough, rugged durability! The Sinclair is constructed totally of 12 oz full grain steer hide. Features a Crest Ridge resin with wood insert tree. This gives the owner the advantage of a light weight durable tree with uncompromised strength. The insert resin tree overcomes the disadvantage of most resin trees. In a full resin tree there is a chance that the screws will stripe out over a period of time. The wood inserts allow for the same structural integrity that a regular wooden tree does, while allowing the weight to be reduced. The screws WILL stay in place.

The Sinclair Series saddle allows your horse's shoulders to move freely without any pressure or pinching. In addition the solid tree distributes your weight across the broad area of your horse's back muscles preventing uneven pressure and allowing the horse to USE his back correctly to perform the signature gait of his breed. With the addition of this bar, to our series of saddles, we are able to fit even more of the hard to fit breeds.

The Sinclair features suspended hanging Dee rigging, which means the rigging in this saddle is attached DIRECTLY to the tree, not to just the leather. (like some of the cheap imitations you find online ) Suspended hanging dee rigging consists of two pieces of leather wrapped around the dee, all loose ends attached directly to the tree with screws and reinforced with copper rivets. In-skirt rigging is inferior because all that holds the rigging is 2 or 3 copper rivets attached to 2 or 3 layers of leather, sewn into place. Wouldn't you rather know the tree is holding your saddle in place, rather than a piece or 2 of leather attached to a piece of leather?  The Sinclair features a hand sewn “Burst Pattern” quilted seat that is no extra charge on all saddles. (Usually a $100. Option) The seat sizes available are 17 and 18 inch. Rim seat standard, as well as the roll under swell, adding a sporty and sophisticated look all at once.  The Sinclair comes in the original reproduction version but the fenders can be easily removed for those who prefer a more English Style riding. Plenty of room for even the highest withers! Made to free up the shoulders and allow the horse to work freely, pulling equally with the front end to allow him to maintain his signature gait! Tie rings at EVERY location you could possibly want them, even a crupper ring on the back of the cantle with 12 oz leather Tie strings! Each saddle has a Leather Near-Side tie and Off-Side Billet, and Stainless Steel Hardware.  Cantle Height 2.25 inches Swell Thickness   2 inches Swell Height   3 inches Swell width  9 inches The full saddle length is 22 inches: short enough for even the shortest backed horse. Crest Ridge Saddlery ® will repair or replace, at it's sole discretion, any product found to be defective by the company, for use as intended, after return to, and examination by, the company. The sole remedy under the warranty or under any implied warranty is limited to the replacement of defective parts.
